Slabrat were an electronic music duo consisting of myself and Daniel Swift-Gibbs. Initially starting out as a parody of dance music we eventually became more serious but still made music on ejay and music 2000 for the playstation.
Our first release was the 35-track opus "welcometoslabratlandenjoyyourstay," in 2001, followed by "Western" (a soundtrack to an unmade western set in a tarmac-ed kid's playground), "Disco" and the "Parking" e.p. (featuring Parking; the 12 minute sequel to Kraftwerk's Autobahn).
I made a few attempts over the next 4 years to make another Slabrat album by myself - Sulis Minerva, a sci-fi soundtrack affair and later a concept-less album called Calm & Cold the Army - but these never really materialised.
Barring a couple of collaborative tracks we usually made half an album's worth of music each then put them in some kind of order. These are my favourites out of the songs that I created - what I produced was too variable in quality to make it all available.
